Dreaming of The Rose Wellness Garden

Over the past year, I have had to really sit down and really think who am I? No, really, who the heck am I? Somewhere, in the madness of being a mom, running a farm, and a business I lost track of who I actually was and didn’t realize until I sat down to start something I call a dream book. My dream book is anything I like or aspire/dream/wish for….basically a positive packed journal (because a dream board just seemed too small). I was not expecting, though, that when I sat down to write a page “What I like” I drew a huge blank. “Coffee, helping others, learning, more coffee…” Well that’s an issue. I have spent awhile doing some soul searching. Losing yourself and relearning who you are…it’s an ongoing process.

The Rose Wellness Garden is the cumulation of thought and deep thinking, looking for guidance. I thought about the theme of helping and healing that has always ribboned through my life and my deep love of everything natural, organic, earth friendly, holistic, and just of-the-earth. Combined with my education and unique research/science background, I realized that I was doing a disservice not using these gifts.

Then came along my journey with Young Living Essential oils and it was an “AHA!!!” moment…actually a string of moments. I’ve used essential oils since I was a teenager but these….wow…these are just a different level of quality and the proof is shown in how much better they work, smell, just everything . (I have done lots of side by side comparisons.) I sound like a complete oil addict and that’s because I am…because they WORK. I also took an herbalist college course. The herbs and the oils have completely wowed myself and my family after what they have done for us the past year. (You see…we do not have health insurance and completely rely upon alternative methods out of necessity.)

I previously focused on just natural skincare but things have grown MUCH bigger than that…and I can’t NOT share. Not sharing about what I do with herbs and oils would be like only making my natural soaps and lotions for myself…I know at least a few people that would be really disappointed with that 😉!

I hope you will stay with me on this blog and maybe learn something new, try something different, or at least start to think differently about natural alternatives to what is in your bathroom and kitchen cabinets.

What about you? Ever done a dream book or board? Do you do one every year? Share with me in the comments below! Want to learn more right now? Join my FB group The Rose Wellness Garden

Much ❤, Ky
