Stress tools for busy moms…

Stress is stress…even happy stress, like traveling on vacation and especially during our world right now. When stress is constant, it attacks our endocrine system and we feel exhausted, full of brain fog, and achy. I have had a fight with adrenal fatigue that is ongoing, as I continue to heal. I am a full-time outside the home worker turned full-time inside the home entrepreneur & mom. Both situations are hard!

The biggest thing that I do when I start to feel this way is listen to what my body needs. Rest more (instead of Jazzercise). Drink more water and eat fruit & veggies (instead of snacking on bad food). When I am ready, I will do slow & intentional relaxing yoga. The limbic system of the brain helps to regulate stress hormones and the way to tap into that is through smell. Essential oils play a big part in what I do and our family uses specific ones in our diffuser and rolled on to help calm & ground ourselves. I take one to help with my adrenals and several to help calm my kids! The school situation has been all over the place and stressful for us all..so glad for these tools.

I have started also using supplements to slow down the amount of cortisol in my body. Antioxidants & vitamins help to heal my stressed out endocrine system.

Excercise is another must-do to handle stress. Some kind of movement is so necessary everyday- a walk, yoga, jogging, jazzercise, swimming, gardening, playing with your kids in the yard…just some of the things I personally do to burn off steam and keep lymph (and toxins) moving out of the body.
